Lamezia Terme International Airport is an airport in the Lamezia Terme area of Sant'Eufemia, Calabria, and Italy. It's the biggest airport in Calabria. The airport opened in June 1976. The IATA airport designation SUF is taken from the name of Sant'Eufemia. Itavia launched regular flights to Rome-Fiumicino, Milan-Linate, Catania, and Palermo in December of that year. The airport was developed and modernized in 1982. Since 1990, it has been run by SACAL SpA, which is collectively operated by different local governments and private investors.
